SHARRON L WEST
Sharron has 33 years of experience in the handling of cargo claims in both the London and US markets. Her career began in the London Market as a Lloyd’s Broker (Claims) and she spent the next 10 years expanding her knowledge and specializing in the Marine Cargo discipline. During this time she obtained her Associateship with the Chartered Insurance Institute in the subject of Marine Insurance. In 1988 she was invited to join the (then) Lloyd’s Claims Office as an Cargo Claims Adjuster handling all manner of losses on behalf of the London Market. Sharron joined Matthews Matson and Kelley in 1994 at the invitation of the owner of the Company and remained with that operation for 17 years through its change of ownership (to the CSL Group) rising to the position of Senior Vice President (Adjusting and Recoveries) for the CSL Group. Last year Sharron left the employ of CSL North America to join MiCAS. Tracy has over 22 years’ experience in the handling of cargo claims for the US and International markets. She began her career as an Administrative Assistant responsible for the production and maintenance of loss statistics and bordereaux reporting while in training to become an adjuster. Tracy acquired her adjuster’s license in 1995 while at CSL North America (formerly Matthews, Matson & Kelley Inc. /MMK International) where she concentrated developed her skills in the adjustment of Cargo and Marine Liability claims. Tracy attained the position of Claims Manager and Senior Claims Adjuster before leaving the CSL Group to join Marine Insurance Claims Adjusting Services (MiCAS). MICHAEL S GRANT
Mick started his career in Lloyd’s Underwriters Claims & Recoveries Office in 1976 and reached the position of Senior Assistant Adjuster before leaving for the USA to form the recoveries office of Matthews Matson & Kelley in Houston. He has well over 35 years of experience in the handling of cargo claims and recoveries in both the London and US markets. He has well over 30 years of experience subrogation claims and has been a licensed adjuster (Texas) for over 20 years. Vicky has over 33 years’ experience working in the marine insurance industry in a variety of technical and management roles. Throughout her career, Vicky, has handled Ocean Marine Cargo, Longshore & Harbor Workers’ Compensation (USL&H) and Jones Act. She began her career working as Adjuster and/or Senior Adjuster with several independent adjusting companies handling USL&H and Texas State Worker’s Compensation claims and General Liability & Property claims. Vicky has also led teams of adjusters in regards to USL&H, Texas Worker’s Compensation, and Jones Act claims for a number of insurers. She was invited to join Port-Cooper T. Smith Stevedores as Risk Manager handling their USL&H program as well as managing Cargo, Marine General Liability and Property claims. She joined Matthews, Matson & Kelley (MMK) as Senior Adjuster in 1999 where she concentrated on handling cargo losses and was promoted to Claims Manager & Principal Adjuster shortly after the acquisition of MMK by the CSL Group in 1995. She ended her career with CSL in 2011 as Senior Vice President, Adjusting & Recoveries to join Marine Insurance Claims Adjusting Services (MiCAS).
